Hi – I’m Liz Barrett, a passionate home cook and entertainer who thrills at the thought of diving into a complex recipe to see just how delicious the results will be! My mission with this blog is to inspire more people to cook. Because if you don’t cook, you don’t eat, in my book! It is safe to say that my rather impulsive acquisition of a condo with a “real” kitchen AND a dining room was fueled by my craving for cooking. I hope to inspire and entertain and I welcome your thoughts, opinions and ideas!
This blog used to be known as Lazy Cook, Crazy Cook – but the Lazy Cook was so lazy she didn’t want to blog anymore. We’re still friends, but this is all mine now. 🙂 When I’m not cooking and blogging, I’m vice president of Corporate Communications and PR at Terlato Wines International. (My blog posts are my own.)
Great blog ladies! I’m very excited to see and read more.

Hi, hi, hi! Haha – glad you liked it! I’m going to find you on Facebook!
Cathy –
I wanted to let you know I enjoyed your lecture at Tufts, but could not get the ketchum email to work. In addition to my biz website I am also blogging the newspaper column I write for my local newspaper. Site http://www.maynardlifeoutdoors.com has a life outdoors theme that covers nature observations, local history and outdoor recreational activities in eastern MA.
P.S. Thirty years ago I had a recipe and restaurant review writing gig for a newspaper in Mobile. So also a foodie.
Liz and Cathy,
Love your recipes and can’t wait to try the Pepper Chips and Smoked Salmon…I’m more of a Lazy Cook.
We are planning an Extraordinary Culinary Excursion to Provence October 17-25, 2010. Trips to the local market, delectable wine tastings, epicurean discoveries, and savory entrees al fresco…a week in Provence is sensory satiation. E-mail me at carol.dodge@frosch.com and I tell you all about it.
Thanks for visiting! And wow, I WILL email you to find out about that delicious-sounding voyage to Provence!
What a fun thing you have going. I’m looking forward to our Pampered Chef party together. I like to say we are what we eat. And most of us are “fast, easy and cheap”!
Being of Italian heritage I think food and love are pretty similar. We show our love in the kitchen.
